Japandroids were too low if anything. One of the best pure rock albums in awhile and better than all those other guitar/drums noise bands. I'm not really seeing Husker Du too much, but being like the Du can't be a bad thing. Plus they put on a heck of a live show.

It is a fine album, but it still pisses me off that It's Never Been Like That didn't get all this love. It was a stone cold classic and got overlooked.

In that case, yes. Simple food done well beats complex food done poorly. But everyone is saying taste is everything, which I don't really agree with. I feel complexity should be recognized, especially at this stage of the show.

Could you say this a few more times? I bet you were upset when people make that big transition from Old to Middle English.

"I'm afraid Kevin didn't win because Padma's announcement was somewhat restrained. Kevin seems to make people beam a little more."

Eh, I agree Kevin is smack talking in a more delicate way. Not so much this episode, but last episode he got a bitchy tone about it. But I'm biased, as I do think the Volt bro has a point. Sure, simple food taste good, but I want to be impressed. You can do a great cartwheel, but I want double backflips, damnit.

H was good as a Wizard, but he was a decent old player on a non contending team, not classic MJ. Which is my point. If AD comes back, it has as good as it was. Not just a decent movie.

Not a Jets fan, I see.

I have to agree
I not understood the shit Cera got for not chomping at the bit for an AD movie. The show was near perfection. While I'd love to see a movie, it is probably more like to disappoint than succeed.

"It's one of those movies that you either love, hate or think is just OK"". Um, otherwise known as a movie?

How about a damn comedy
Hot Fuzz would be my choice.

Yeah, I have to say the reason why movies aren't like music/books yet is the sheer amount of the data in a movie. We are talking exponentially larger. Until download speeds get wicked fast, streaming and Netflix will have to do for legal movies.

It is a brilliant idea
If it becomes the industry standard and remains fairly cheap (as in, not too much more than Blu-Ray or DVD by their lonesome). You can share discs with friends, gradually shift to high def, and if you are a richie rich you might have multiple players in your house. It will encourage people to

James Franco's brother
He is in this. I'm curious how he will do.

White girl was the key point. I was pointing out how Rivers has a very weird Asian fetish that turns me off of "Across the Sea". To make it easier for you, change it to a letter from a white girl from Russia (a point I already mentioned). Same distance from Rivers, very close to his beloved Japan. All the same

Talk about missing the point. This exact comment was the one I was trying to thwart by adding the Brazil/Russia/Kenya sentence.

To put it another way, I don't think the song would have been written if Rivers got a letter from a cute white 18 year old from Omaha or something. Or even froma girl from Brazil/Russia/Kenya.

Nope, Asian women are quite attractive. As a white man, I've dated a few. But exclusively finding Asian woman attractive/having pop up as a constant in your music is creepy.

The biggest problem with emo is that it at one point described an 80s hardcore movement which included bands like Rites of Spring. People who knew that flipped once emo started to describe any old band like Dashboard or Taking Back Sunday.

Rivers has a well known and much remarked upon Asian fetish (See: Buddy Holly, everything else he has ever done). I find that creepy. As I said, he is allowed to write it and people are allowed to like it. I just can't listen without being skeeved.
