Yeah, everyone I know with a remote familiarity of Doyle's works and hearing the name "Vinnie Jones" immediately pegged him as Moran. And titling the episode "M." and then deliberately not mentioning Moriarty for most of it? That was such an obvious "There's a twist coming!" broadcast.

Sherlock was hands down the best series of the year for me, but I agree that Reichenbach was the best episode. I recently watched it again and it's ever better upon rewatch. Not even Carrie turning in Brody on Homeland compared to the "holy hell WHAT?" shock of Moriarty blowing his own brains out just to guarantee

Apparently, it's so my parents will have something to see on Christmas Day after Dad stuck to his guns and refused Mom's entreaties that they see Les Miz. Django Unchained is too violent and Tarantino-y, and The Hobbit will have too many kids in the audience, so yay, Parental Guidance! The compromise choice for

WTF show are you watching? Sherlock and John have never screamed at each other in the BBC version. They've had less arguments over the course of the series than this Holmes and Watson had in the pilot.

On a UK talk show once, he said that "Cucumber Patch" was old by the time he left nursery school. But his personal all time favorite variation on his name is "Bendydick Cumonmybaps."

According to ONTD's teen hipster standards, knowing either Benedict Cumberbatch or James McAvoy from anything other than Starter for 10 makes you sooooo mainstream.

Martin Freeman is a fantastic dramatic actor when given the material. "The Reichenbach Fall" episode of Sherlock wouldn't be so famous if it weren't for Freeman's performance in the last 20 minutes.

I care about the characters and their emotional journeys are believable and well-acted. The fact that the time travel/AU stuff doesn't work if you follow it down the rabbit hole simply means it's on par with EVERY OTHER time travel movie and Star Trek property ever.
