As always, fun to hear Patton talk about the comedy world, even if I boil with jealous rage at his shout-out to Fero and such.

This was when his defense completely went off the rails. Amazing how he talks about all these great influences and then only seems to value their popularity.

She's also Eckman's wife, for what it's worth.

I haven't either, so question to Doctor who fans: is it possible to watch just for her?

"Anakin, you're breaking me in half."

Why didn't he replace the Jake Lloyd puppet, too?

Great shot
When Jesse opens the trunk, and we immediately see a tire iron.

You're in love with… me — me!
That "Who's on First?" bit you quote is, in my opinion, the single funniest moment of the entire series.

I got halfway through this review and was like, "What? Actual criticism with no schmaltz? Who wrote this? Ah, Todd!"

I am a nerd too and thus I also enjoy Weird Al
I second the love for "Everything You Know is Wrong," which to this day is a mainstay of my morning-shower repertoire, but that album (Bad Hair Day) also had some other really great originals — particularly "I Remember Larry," which has one of the funniest lines I think

Probably crazy, but…
Is there ever the possibility for a network to emerge that's strictly subscription-based with the implicit pact that a subscription = quality original programming?

For shame!
Todd, I'm surprised you didn't quote Troy's rafting line! That line — or maybe moreso Donald Glover's delivery of it — was, at least for me, the biggest laugh of the entire series.

I agree and am posting an Internet comment about it
Acting has always been WKUK's weakness. Even in their best stuff, when the writing was spot-on, the acting still lagged behind virtually every other popular sketch group out there.

I just tuned into this show for the first time (it helps that I'm moving to Chicago in a few days) and was surprised at how much I liked it. Is it worth catching up on?

I'll call your Nasim Pedrad dancing and RAISE that it might have been the cutest thing on TV all week.

First time I watched SNL in a while, and…
I'm consistently frustrated at how SNL insists on making its sketches five minutes or longer. I know it's necessary, considering it must be awfully expensive to build the sets and costumes, but the show would improve tenfold if the writers were allowed to tighten the sketches

"Forget it, Rango. It's 'Chinatown' without the story twists."

Really, Bishonen? Parker Lewis Can't Lose?

Confirmation
Julie Taymor sounds pretty much like every aspiring theatre director I've ever known — pretentious as shit.

Even after reading how horrible the episode is, I'm still tempted to watch it just FOR Ashley Judd.
