He was terrific as ASA Ed Danvers in Homicide: Life on the Street and, although he certainly could be a dick on that show, he definitely wasn't scary…

The Raylan 'n Boyd shootin' up the alley trailer seems definitely to be about "us against them"—good call on that theme, Tracer Bullet P.I.
That there isn't a truly all-encompassing "bigger picture" this season is in a way more Leonardian than the much more neatly-bound Season Two.

Craig Kimbrel is (generously, I'd say) listed as 5'11" and Jonny Venters at 6'3"… I think Herzog's just wrong on this. Physically, DeKay/Burke is completely legit as someone who was being groomed as a reliever/closer—even considering the time period.

Wendy Scott-Carr, and i think it's especially due to her portrayal by Anika Noni Rose, is genuinely scary.
