I think that it is a small minority that wouldn't read the reviews just because there are letter grades there. That might become a majority if 100 books were being reviewed, but as you said, it's just a handful of reviews once a month.

I still think that if the grading system is not put in place, a similar effect could be achieved by sectioning off the books into categories such as "don't miss," "also this month," etc.
