I love that Jack's pop culture references never extend beyond 1980.

Boy, The A.V. Club sure is a fun place to read movie reviews now.

God, I fucking hate this guy.

Jesse already did in the first season.

That "Ah, ah, he SAID IT!!!" thing has become a long-running joke in my house. My favorite recent example was in Trouble With the Curve.

Man, The X-Files was COMPLETELY past it's prime by season 8. I'd like to see it all reviewed for the sake of completeism (is that a word?) But I'd much rather see the end of TTZ without a break.

Vedder did a great job on the chorus of Comfortably Numb at that hurricane benefit show too.

Meryl Streep can have anything she wants, but she better not take it from me.

I've never understood the critical hatred for Cake. They're so fun! Same with 311.

Popular music,, and how dumb you are for liking it.

Yeah dude, there's only one Rob Halford, and you aren't gay or awesome enough to be him.

Singing along to Yellow Ledbetter is way more fun. "Oh YEAAHEAHEEEEEEEEEEAH canyouseeum? Ooooohondapor, eh, OHWEMAWEEEEEEEEEEEH I seeun, ROWNafronwayeeeaeeeaheh aninoaninow, I donwanasteeeeeeeeeeeh."

That was my first "favorite song" when I was 11. I don't love it nearly as much anymore, but the opening verse still has great imagery. "And the dead lay in pools of maroon below."

I like U2. A lot. There, I said it, fuck off.

I have a nerd crush on Bob Uecker, and think a little less of you because you don't.

@avclub-525f76574b3a2a5bcb4da793c92a16fb:disqus I stand corrected. But I still think Glover did the same thing, but better.

It's a fair cop, but I really felt like a better actor could have lifted that movie past where Sandler brought it. Hell, I thought he was doing a less interesting take on Crispin Glover's performance in Willard.

Golfing Sandler or GTFO

Honestly, I think that Punch Drunk Love is PT Anderson's worst movie, and other than being not bad in Funny People I don't think Sandler's given a remotely interesting performance since Happy Gilmore.

Sigh, I like football but I LOVE baseball & I hate that it becomes a complete afterthought until the World Series this time of year.
