What a classy guy.
Great interview. You mentioned it at a book signing in Chicago and I've been looking forward to it since (I think the book was about vapor lock and I have no idea how the subject came up). Did you plan on asking about Skidoo and then abandon the idea when he said he didn't like it?
So it's not Gerard Butler in the vibrating panties?
Pass.
I'm glad the buzzkills are at the end of the day
Especially when I have to stay late for the Poppins.
Not that I wouldn't fuck him.
It's okay to hate him. Whenever he does a concert he gives the same spiel about "This next song is about the real John Barrowman," and then he sings "I Am What I Am." Gag.
Recasting is a perfectly cromulent idea
Our customers enjoy Duff for its robust taste rather than it's alcoholic content, and so we're happy to announce new Duff Zero!
Rime.
It's not a comedy.
Oh, I get it. Never mind.
Nonsense. Sondheim has never been unhummable. He's just as melodic as Rodgers or Kern. I too saw Bounce in Chicago and found it maddening. So much good and so much bad in one show. Like Carrie, only less fun. And not terrible.
I saw the tour, too. Sweeney is one of my favorite shows, and I still found the revival confusing. But Judy was phenomenal.
Holy fuck
And I thought the book would be nothing but stories of being raised by a succession of TV housekeepers.
What the hell is that first (totally awesome) quote from?
The Tonys are a parody of Cruising?
Who wants to live in New York?
The cops the cabbies,
The salesgirls up at Saks.
Ya gotta have a real taste for maniacs…
Most inaccurate assessment of the night?
That audiences are responsible for the highest-grossing Broadway season ever. I'm pretty sure that that honor goes to the increasingly high ticket prices.
Whereas I find almost everything about [title of show] to be excruciatingly precious. Gag.
It's Hollywood Upstairs Medical College.
What a weird coincidence
You look exactly like this dancer at the Lucky Horseshoe.
