I skimmed some of this earlier and will read it once I see the film. I was surprised to learn he wasn't a big fan of Only Loves Left Alive though!
The Trouble with Harry certainly isn't great but it has its charm. I particularly like the quiet pastoral Vermont setting, which doesn't feel like the type of place film decides to visit so often, at least as imaginatively rendered as it is here.
If it's leaving Netflix Canada, I might finally cancel my subscription. Not much is keeping me at this point. The selection is only getting worse and worse, and Buffy/Angel were one of the few things (along with Bojack Horseman) keeping me.
I watched the first two X-Men movies. They hold up pretty well. I'd imagine they're probably about as good as the formula works. I think I'm probably in the minority in preferring the first film. X2 feels a little overstuffed to me.
It absolutely does not need a title lol. It's total nonsense to think it does.
The new Father John Misty song opens with the line "Bedding Taylor Swift every night inside the Oculus Rift" because of course it does.
Not to mention having one of your young stars job in 20 seconds to an old man who hasn't taken a bump in 13 years.
For the title, no less, for some fucking reason.
*looks at WWE Fastlane main event result* HAHAHAHAHAAHA WHAT THE FUCK
Devil! Be gone!
Don't be. I've had to shovel so much snow just not to be literally buried in.
Just out of curiosity, how much coffee do you use? Relative to a particular amount of water, I mean.
It's disgusting! You're disgusting!
I haven't been able to leave the house the past three days due to a snowstorm. The worst part is I'm all out of milk and I have to take my coffee black. I don't think this is something I could ever get used to. Does anyone really like it? Blech!
Cool cool cool. I'll take heed. I haven't seen the first two X-Men films in years and I haven't seen any of the more recent ones. Might be fun to run through them, since I won't get to watch Logan for a while anyway.
Do I need to see the previous Wolverine films before going into this one?
Same. I haven't dug into his solo work, so I guess it depends upon what you think of that. Just being familiar with his work as a Beatle, I certainly fall into the former camp.
Where do you fall?
Yeah, I'm not interested in continuing this conversation. He's just a guy. I think the reasons to like him far outweigh the reasons not to and I hope he continues winning. The end.
