I think banking on suck is a safe bet.  Even so, while the hype has died down I imagine that at least some Nielsen viewers still watch Glee.  Putting it against competition like Parks, the Office, and Grey's (great point) will hurt it, it will also hurt those shows (and the Office is in a worse situation than Glee, to

Yeah I had been following the NBC news for so long I forgot what a competent network looks like.  Pairing comedies with tonal resonance?  Protecting vulnerable but acclaimed shows?  Alert nerd!

I disagree, especially because of the precarious position NBC is in.  Surely there's some crossover between Glee and The Office/Parks and Rec, and since those shows are only pulling a 2.2/1.7 any viewers Glee siphons off could really hurt them.  Granted, Glee is awful and not doing great itself, but I think a good

Agreed.  Also can't believe I'm been misspelling Qhorin this whole time.  I feel shame.

That's true, but as I remember the books, it was ambiguous how much the Night's Watch's distrust of Jon stemmed from his time with the Wildlings, or how much the factions that opposed him in the Watch used that time to paint him as an untrustworthy person.

They can still have the battle, right?  It doesn't happen until Book 3?

It may only have troubled me a short time, but you solved the Quorinese Knot.  That makes the most sense.

I don't see how they could have Jon rejoin Quorin, then kill him and rejoin the Wildlings.  Either way the novel is much stronger, but if they choose to end it with him killing Quorin that would be more dramatic.

I think that's why I'm weirdly looking forward to it, even though that preview was less than promising.

I think that's the cliffhanger they'll use at the end of the season.  Not sure how it will work, though.

SPOILERS!  YOU KNOW NOTHING THAT'S IN THIS THREAD, JON SNOW, BECAUSE IT'S ALL SPOILERS SO COLLAPSE IT RIGHT NOW!  SPOILERS!

Haha, that's much better explication!  Although 'Cherry Daiquiri' IS a gem unto itself.

A Discovery:

I don't think Nina is wounded at all.  You can clearly see the blood spread across her abdomen as she's performing - the audience (at the Met) would have noticed that.  But they just clap when it's over.  And Vincent Cassel runs over to her and is super excited.  Only after a few seconds does he suspect something's

That opening was flat out embarrassing, for so many reasons.

I thought he stood out.  I will say that he was given the most material out of anybody this episode.  And, if you don't like dumb Troy, I could see how this episode would grate.

Is The Office just doing a less interesting version of the plot that Community just did with Andy standing in for the Study Group?

Donald Glover was so, so good this episode.  This is all very masculine.

Yeah it wasn't as bad as The Office's extended "sexual assault preparedness is hilarious!" joke from a few weeks ago, but still not OK.
