Nonsense. The Jacob idea didn't even exist in the minds of the writers in the first season. All that came much later when they discovered they'd painted themselves into a corner

I wouldn't argue with that either. This show explicitly avoided explaining anything except for a LITERAL Deus ex Machina to explain the dysfunctional broad theme. Yes. Shows can make up any rules they want… but they have to live by the rules they made.

The writers clearly were making shit up as they went….And then making other shit up to cover that shit.

You can pretty much guarantee the comments section of any article about LOST will be lively. Can't wait to read (and, to be fair, participate in) the same arguments again.

I think there's a short film where he either meets Walt or says he will to hand the Island over. Doesn't matter, the show is a mish mash of aborted ideas and nonsense. They a short movie to try to explain some of the fuck ups. Doesn't count, the show blew it.

Shepherd makes a speech in the end to try to evade all the evidence, piling up and overflowing, that refutes everything he says… Sort of like real life when people stand up there in Church.
The show made its money on its mysteries. It traded on this. If you took all of the mystery shit out of the show, and just left

I guess Einstein's remark about explaining is true here, then

The footage of the empty abandoned plane was apparently added by the network.

Listen, Spoiler Nazi. I fixed it right away. It seems to be fine now.

a time jump would only make sense if it happens the way that it happens in the books The time jump in the books happens right at the moment that Rick convinces Negan that Rick's way is right and then "kills" him. If they are going to do it, that would be when they do it. Any other way would be dumb

I was and am a very big fan of Don Rickles. He could go too far in his sarcasm, (which was his stock and trade, some use it, he lived in it) but he was very incisive. I loved his acting. (Kelly's Heroes is a fave) and he stood by EVERY icon that there was in his storied career, and took the piss out of every one of

Their relationship was okay when Robbie was a nebbish. But they made him a superhuman Ultra Nerd. I don't find the pairing funny in that context. Nadia was funny when she thought some dark skinned guy was Wilder Valderamma. She was funny as Cece's roommate. She needs to continue misadventures, not go back…..in

Nadia. Yes. We needed to see her. I think Coach's storyline closed neatly with a chance meeting in New York

I think the guy above you sort of kills your "not quotable" vibe.

Absolutely should have. WD could have seeded a few aftermaths into itself and the show could have kept it's connection

This is true. Also, our first leader was a notorious drunk

Brits should have gone as a character from Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. No wonder the guy got tuned up

Phoebe was easily the worst of that lot. She was a bullying lunatic.

He's not even in the top ten most kooky world leaders. He's got his issues, but is really pretty good.

Stranger Things was BUILT around mimicing Stephen King stories. It's references and beats were 75 % Stephen King(and 25% Spielberg….though one can debate the ratio) This story was first.
