This seems to be literally the point of the comic. Rick starts as an incredibly altruistic good man. He sells his morals down the river so many times that he is virtually the same evil dick as all the people he fights against. I feel like the show is saying the same thing.

I liked that film. I bought the premise, I liked the team, and enjoyed the end. I liked the altered Ripley. I thought 3rd Gen Android Winona Ryder was interesting. Maybe, if anything, I thought Dan Hedaya was a bad choice.
