Sound Mix
anybody else find the sound mix on this show kind of odd? The background/ambient sound is weirdly loud all the time in a way I've never noticed on any other show before.

my mom took me to see Snoopy Come Home in the theater — I was three years old — and I cried so hard my mom said she sunk under the seat. I don't think I've seen it since.

williamsburg
much of the first season was filmed in williamsburg, whether it was actually set in the neighborhood. most memorably, the truck jones brings across was at the intersection of broadway and bedford (the same place they blew the bus up in Ed Zwick's "The Siege").

Best Brad Anderson movie
…is Happy Accidents, which melds a romantic comedy to some scifi thriller elements. No special effects, but just a perfect little movie. For that movie alone, I look forward to whatever his next thing is.

Tom DiCillo
directed this episode. Most all his movies are worth seeing, even if most are slight. Deft hand with tonight's episode I thought.

dad's band
i'm a week behind on episodes, so i just watched this one. agree it was a pretty good one overall, but jeez could dad's band been a more generic bluesrock band? this would be fine if everyone on the show saw them this way, but they got treated like they were some genuinely good group.
