Outer Borroughs
This place gets NYC's outer borroughs like no other show or movie ever… btw Spa Castle is amazing. I went from being shruggy about BtD when it started to pretty much loving it now, though being a Brooklyn resident has a lot to do with it. That said, it's just gotten better — as has weak link

cinderblocks
my problem with this episode was milo's ability to not just do probability but also predict the future…there's no way he could have known where that forklift (or the truck he jumps on earlier) would have been at that precise moment.

yes, but what does
the former Moldy Peach think about this?

SPOON
did they do *anything* off Telephono, their only Matador album? Not that I'd want to hear anything from it but…

yeah i got the suicide vibe from roger when he came home at end of episode, like if his wife hadn't been there, it'd been him, a gun and the bedroom.

Lucky Strike out…
Sal back in? That's the one glimmer of hope I'm…hoping for?

This is…
Chocolate Babies.

"Jackie Rogers Jr.'s One Hundred Thousand Dollar Jackpot Wad" is my single favorite SNL sketch.

Is it just me…
or do all the Higher Ups talk like they learned to speak watching David Mamet films?

It's just "Prophecy"
No "the." Horrible, horrible movie.

If you get the MGM HD channel…
Without Warning is in current rotation on there. It's a treasure trove of "what the hell is this?" movies. The Census Taker anyone?

Joe Bastianich co-owns a lot of Mario Batali's places. His mom, Lidia, has a few PBS cooking shows, as well as a bunch of Italian restaurants in NYC (elsewhere? Probs Vegas.)

Yeah, it's FOX's fault not really Ramsey's. The BBC Kitchen Nightmare's is a million times better, less sensational, less fights with the owners. Also Ramsey narrates in the UK version and there isn't all the stupid music.

It's not cultural, Ray.
It's people eating beans.

wither simpons coverage?
been two weeks…

Cadmium Paint: Delicious But Deadly
miss ya, Phil.

The M. Night Gallery
I think ALL of M. Night's movies (maybe not Unbreakable) could be reduced to half hour episodes of some Serling-esque anthology show. He comes up with great ideas but they always feel padded out on the big screen. Seriously, I would love to see him do something like this.

Paella is spanish
Gus was making paila marina, a Chilean fish stew.

I'm not opposed to a Rockford remake, it could be good, but was never sold on Mulroney. Nathan Fillion coulda done it… or really Thomas Jane woulda been perfect even though it would be just like Hung except with more bar fights and less big dicks.

someone stole roy neary's truck
serious close encounters vibes at the start.
