    I too was wondering about that.

    *All Over the Place* is an authentically great album—it's at least as good as (obvious comparison, see other thread) *Beauty and the Beat*.  If that be canonization, then make the most of it.

    Nit pick
    I always heard the lyric as "everytime I HOLD you, I just wanna put you down".

    This is pretty good. Reminds me of Love Tractor or Pell Mell—which are always good things.

    I don't want to say that you're wrong about L7, UMD, but have you heard "Smell the Magic"? It's the one thing they did that sounded like they were supposed to: the debut was apprentice work, the major label albums are too restrained, but they had this one album where everthing came together.
