Honestly, I felt like this was the direction they were going in. Savitar is just Savitar and not some big secret. Then they introduced the whole "know his identity to defeat him" angle. Up till that point there really wasn't any need to believe he had some secret identity.

Wow, I hadn't thought of Ronnie as being Savitar but it makes perfect sense. It clearly has to be someone we know and the options are very limited without getting too implausible.

He's also married to Shantel VanSanten who played Patty Spivot on S2 of The Flash. She was really one of the bright spots in a season that wasn't too full of them.
