I'm going to make this cowboy into a cow man!

No.

@avclub-e4854c5608c54d96a6b3f76b9414a746:disqus You mean a  Leprechaun ?!

They should just call it "Tripping Balls" and be done with it.

I sat through Highlander 2.  I can sit through anything.

What I like about the AV Club is that there will always be someone who knows that it is their duty to do this.  And it is, like a sacred trust - any time an article mentions werewolves, or a comment has the word "wolf", or there's a news item about an especially hirsute actor, one of us will take on the mantle to

love that bit.

It's too bad that metaphorical assholes, unlike literal assholes, can make babies.

I've only heard of Humboldt County because of Firesign Theatre.

I'm in the same boat.  Partly because I'm older now, but mostly because I suck at games.  It's ridiculous - I've been playing video games since the Pong era and yet I still suck at them.  So yeah, I tend to go for things like story and character.  Atmosphere too, or interesting experiences.

In high school a friend and I had a contest of caffeine tolerance levels (this is from back in the days when restaurants gave free refills).  We were a couple skinny little guys with no food in our stomachs.  I won - 11 coffees and an espresso to his 10 coffees and a cappuccino, in 45 minutes.

Thanks for the recommendations, now I want to move them up my queue.  Most of the setpieces (the battle on the airplane especially) have the timing and flow of a good quality action movie and the characters (though pretty stock) have an easyness and affability about them - they seem like they're fun to hang out with,

I finally watched Inglorias Basterds - liked it, but was a bit disappointed that even with all the running time all the characters were so, I don't know, flat.  I guess I was expecting more.

Doctor Detroit?  Oh my god, Dan Akroyd's going to be the next Doctor!

God knows when, but you're doing it again

So you're saying they should have got Hodgman to review it himself.  I would have enjoyed that, but I'm not sure how much utility the review would have for non-Hodgman fans.

@avclub-beddc9f9e1c9b438dc4246e494644ce4:disqus That's not a cultural thing I think, that's a mom and grandmother thing.

You don't want someone who's preaching to the converted.

TVC 15.  Well, it's a pretty peppy little tune.
