Word is the ledge steals every scene they're in together.

Bud to Otto: "Look at 'em. Ordinary fucking people. I hate 'em."

In the silky smooth voice of Roscoe Lee Browne!

I thought it was: "Fish! Plankton! Sea greens! And protein from the sea!"

I say yes. And while Soylent Green isn't great, I think it's better than any of the movies mentioned in this article.

If Ocasek had stuck to writing/playing and let Orr do all the singing, they would have been a much better band in my opinion. Never great, but better.

He's not a spectacularly talented bassist, but I think John Doe is my favorite bass playing singer. Lemmy is a magnificent frontman though, and a force of nature.

Dawes has played my hometown twice in the past year. We're way too big for Radiohead.

"Rubbing is racing."

For me the real star of this movie is George Peppard's moustache.

Sounds like the olfactory adventure of a lifetime.

The Condition of Nothing
The Thrill Jockey website has a free download of the opening track of this album, and it's pretty cool. I'm fairly new to this band but I'm really looking forward to this album.

I had a busy weekend working on motorcycles so there wasn't much time in front of the TV. I did watch a couple of Top Gear specials (Botswana and Bolivia) and on Saturday night my super geeky little film club watched "The Holy Mountain."

Kraven.

The Capo of Destiny!

No. Hollywood doesn't seem to learn from successes any more than it learns from failures.

It's all a matter of personal taste I guess. I know very few people who like all three "versions" of Solaris because they're all so different. Both film adaptations diverge from the novel, and both do so in their own way. I love this film, and have seen it at least a dozen times. I think the book has some great ideas

Looking forward to seeing it on Blu-Ray, and "Le Mans" as well. Strange that the two greatest racing movies of all time hit BR on the same day.

Agreed, LR. It's an awesome film. Clouzot is great stuff. I have the Criterion Blu-Ray of "Wages of Fear" and will be adding "Diabolique" to my collection.
