I really enjoyed NIN's cover of Gary Numan's "Metal" - especially when it was played this summer in Toronto. Sweet.

We saw a squirrel with the biggest set of knockers imaginable. Musta been fake.

Johnny Cash covering "Rusty Cage" was amazing. I've listened to his version 10x more than Soundgardens' original.

Reach out and take it. Reach out and t-t-t-take it…

PureRockRadio via iTunes Radio - you request your favourite songs from an extensive library, and stick around for about 10-15 minutes - you'll hear your song, plus many other rockin' tunes. I like it.

In 1983, I gave up my dreams of completing something worthwhile in college or university, and I joined the Canadian Forces. A decent year for music, if memory serves - lots of Def Leppard, some Michael Jackson, Golden Earring's "Radar Love", and even some Hank Williams Jr.

I love the guitar, bass and drum attack of metal, but can't stand the "cookie monster" growling that passes for vocals these days.

This is consentual sex or maybe makeup sex, not rape. The Toronto show was packed, and I'm sure NIN could have played there 2-3 times in a year, and still packed 'em in. Fans aren't just coming out because it's the last time to see NIN - as was stated earlier, Trent's recent studio work has been quite good, and it's

ET nailed it a few posts up - Snyder couldn't have won with this sort of material and fanbase. I enjoyed the movie. I also enjoyed the book.

I'd put Death Magnetic outside of Metallica's Top Five, but if they ever got around to re-mastering it, so that it didn't sound so buzzy and too-far-into-the-red, it'd crack the Top Three. Rick Rubin dropped the ball on this one - big time.

OK, yes the amount of the fine was ridiculous.

Toll Troll, the phrase "single handedly" never works well in a post dealing with pronography. Or does it?

That's pretty harsh. Not all RATM stuff was top-shelf, either. We tend to glorify the past when the future dries up.

Agreed - I wish they'd get away from the scenes like the opening sequence in Q of S where the bad guys fire machine guns for five minutes at Bond, and never seem to hit him…or anyone else for that matter.

Perhaps, they should just try to find some hobby that would relax both their minds and their bodies, so they wouldn't argue with each other so much.

Any goodwill that Bond may have earned with CR, may have been frittered away by Q of S. This next one had better be special, or we may start looking back on Craig the same way most of us currently view Brosnan. So much potential, tarnished by mediocre final results.

First, James First!
Moneypenny, fix me a big cup of firsties!
