So I'm not qualified to judge this movie? A bit elitist there. A movie stands on it's own merits.

True, the audience reaction may be skewed, but having just seen it and despite not being a comic book fan (this is honestly the first Superman movie I've ever seen), I definitely lean towards that higher audience number than the lower critic one.
It has a 75% audience rating though. This movie is not nearly as bad as the critics are saying.
I think it's very telling that while it has a 29% critic rating on rotten tomatoes, it has a very solid 75% audience rating.
This movie is nowhere near as bad as this review makes it out. It's no masterpiece, and certainly has flaws, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. Worth seeing for sure.
I know this was a list of diss tracks in rock, but you got a real missed opportunity here by not including "Hit Em Up" by Tupac. The all time gold standard of diss tracks going waaaay too far. Unless you have a separate list planned of the best rap diss tracks…which if you don't, get on that.
I'll defend to my death the SciFi channel miniseries from 2000. While the low budget shows in some places, its remarkably good looking, extremely well-acted (Ian McNeice as the Baron is magnificent), and actually pretty faithful to the book.
This show's gonna be sweeeeet! Have they cast Mr. Nancy yet?
While for the most part, I agree with this, you gotta hand it to the man, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is just phenomenal. Gotta give the devil his due sometimes.
That's a great point. The cliche is that fame doesn't change you, it just makes you more of who you always were, right? That said, there's still this endearing humbleness on College Dropout that seems almost comical when you compare it to the Kanye of today.
I guess I'll have to check it out, though it seems liable to lower my opinion of him even more (not that he gives a damn what I think anyway).
Could you just tell me what I'd hear if I listened to that? Seems easier.
What happened to 2004 Kanye? College Dropout at this point seems like it was made by an entirely different, unrelated person. It's like Kanye circa 2005 got attacked and killed by one of those bug aliens from Men in Black, and it's now wearing his skin.
That's a real puzzler for sure. For the longest time I told myself that he was just crazy like a fox, saying and doing ridiculous stuff to make sure his name stayed out there. But at this point….I just don't know.
I may get some flack for this as I love these movies more than is healthy, but I'd love ro hear the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks in concert. And while we can and maybe even should argue over the merits of rhe films (I think the 3rd one is the best of all), I think no one can dispute the mammoth awesomeness of…
And I bet there's some smug dude on the internet who thinks he's fucking clever for taking a shot at an easy target
Yeah the snark is strong with this one. I still like this flick too.
I still love this movie, and I don't care who knows. Mendelson, you aren't the only one excited for the sequel.
You're on a roll with the quips in this thread. Well done!
Good to see some measured, thoughtful criticism here of Interstellar (this is not snark, you bring up good points), something totally lacking from a phrase like:
