Alurin - Moore apologized for the delay on the podcast (although it gave all of us more time to hatch misguided theories, so I chalk it up as a good thing). He also said he'd be recording the podcast for all three hours of the finale "tomorrow night" and that it wouldn't be posted until after this Friday's conclusion.

The Gospel of Daniel According to Ron -

Islanded Podcast
The podcast for "Islanded" has been posted at the sci-fi (umm…syfy) site.

There's also "Three's Company" - D'Anna, choosing to stay behind on Earth, moves into an apartment with two wacky centurions. Hilarity ensues.

Yep. And they've lost a lot of sardines along the way. How long has the "rag-tag fleet" been on the run now? Even in an Exodus, you have to find somewhere to settle down eventually.

Ending Symmetry
If the show ended up folding back on itself (not that i really think it will), it would be cool if the final scene mirrored the first scene in the miniseries:

Alurin - Interesting point that the tragedy in these people's lives may have placed them in a position to survive the attack. And nice to see a show that recognizes everything isn't necessarily roses and sunshine for everyone before a tragedy hits. Many of these characters would have been miserable even if life on The

Agreed that the show needs to come to an end while it's still strong (while admitting I don't want it to end!). Law of diminishing returns would mean a slow spiral into the ordinary, otherwise. The only problem I have is that the writers seem to have loved stuffing each season with so much baggage (*good* baggage,

It could be a combination of both. The mood of the Adama & Tigh scene ending two episodes back seemed more of a recognition of death and resignation to the fact that the Old Girl is finished. "Going out in style" could mean a number of things in that context.

Yeah, Helfer's peculiar reading of that line had my mind drifting toward the red light district for a second too.

I think it was alurin who called the Ship Captain Quorum back after the coup.

Agree with Rex - I took it to mean: we have almost no chance of success, but I'm going to do it anyway. Psychologically, the decision in this episode could steal the earlier title, "Lay Down Your Burdens".

That's called "old school oratory" (or so I'm told).

Peterskb - It bothered me too. It was discussed a bit a few weeks ago, and someone posted this link as to how Baltar could have survived:

Let the Right One In
It's not a Universal picture in any way shape or form, but I just watched the Swedish coming-of-age vampire movie "Let the Right One In" last night - and it's fantastic.

Bingo!

The Hammer movies were kinda fun, but really not all that great. "Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter" - a late entry in the series - is better than most. And there's a very enlightening and entertaining documentary on the Hammer series called "Flesh and Blood"…and it's even available through Netflix.

Good points re: the DVD box set way of watching a show (or even a season). Make the show more like a book - you can watch one chapter, or spend an entire night (or weekend) really getting engrossed in it. I read an article a year or two ago claiming that at this point, TV has in many ways eclipsed movies - you can

Very interesting. Thanks, guys. I'll be on the lookout for "lions den" references, even though magnus is probably on the mark with the RDM's cat point. Still, they picked the name somehow.

Anyone have a religious background and care to tackle the Daniel question on the basis of the names? (Isn't he a Biblical character?)
