Evil Urges is a really poorly recorded album with a bunch of great songs on it. Everything from "Highly Suspicious" on is amazing live. The first two tracks have their moments. The record deserves at least a B- or, in P4k numbers, a 7.5.

I agree with Dgl. Fables is a beautiful meditation on obsession and death. Pageant is a celebration of life in the face of adversity. They basically split the styles of Reckoning- Fables is "Time After Time," "So. Central Rain," and "Camera"; Pageant is "7 Chinese Brothers," "Second Guessing," & "Pretty Persuasion." I

I suppose my reaction to the review is largely premised on its second paragraph, which indicates that the author more or less sides with the NY Times character assassination piece that Lynn Hirschberg, celebrity journalist, published last month. The author has clearly been influenced by Hirschberg's assessment of

1. Automatic for the People
2. Document
3. Life's Rich Pageant
4. Murmur
5. Reckoning
6. Fables of the Reconstruction

It means, Snarky, that P4k assumed that P4k's target audience will not like this record. They do this from time to time with good records. They gave Evil Urges- hardly MMJ's best, but a good record nonetheless- a 4.9, and mocked it for the rest of 2008. They gave The Winter of Mixed Drinks a 6.something and attempted

"Bollywood" Leaked Last Week.
It is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. My love for Exile in Guyville remains undiminished, but now carries a hint of sadness…

This is a new remastered edition. It's not TMT['s time capsule or something. And it's worth reviewing because REM's first 5 albums are solid classics.

Take a break. You can reach your destination, but it's still a ways away.

Yeah. The critics are polarized on this one. Metacritic lists several scores in the 100-80 range, and several in the 60-40 range. That often means good things; many critics don't want to be challenged, or simply try to blow on the winds of their subcultures, and they tend to have the most negative reactions to

After All the Controversy,
…it's here. I haven't heard the album, but from the tracks- and the videos (!)- that are out there already, this is a massive, challenging album that will take a long time to judge properly. I look forward to it.

There are quite a few, Lovecraft. Many of them are on Twitter.

For Christ's sake, learn how to poach an egg! It's like Eggs 101!

Hey, my name's not Alex! It's Tommy Wiseau!

Kill Bill, or, Failing That, Kill Alex

It will be scrumtrulescent.

IN "THE HOUSE THAT DRIPS BLOOD ON ALEX,"
…LISA ISN'T TEARING TOMMY WISEAU APART; TOMMY WISEAU JUST TORE APART LISA!

*Watches*

They might withhold an episode or two for those w/ season passes. They did that with LOST this year. But, yeah, it's nice to have TV on my iPod.

My non-internet friends don't like discussing things like Mad Men in any depth.

Loose cannon!
