Fireflies makes total sense reading it here, but watching the episode I thought they were embers living on from the fire Will stamped out. A stretch of the imagination?

I loved the floating embers escorting Will to the fountain.

Did anyone else pick up on the blocking of Caleb spinning around in the chair to reveal his bloodied face to Dylan being similar to the reveal of Mother in the film?

I find Kevin's new apartment to be a very symbolic of his relationship with Patrick. With the silver and glass, it's all surface. The casting of Estabrook is also telling. In the Paley discussion the creators talked about how they try to cast actors that are very real. Estabrook's style of acting is typically

Agreed.

Thank you for reframing this question of Norma's motives. Well done.

To me, John is all of those things as well. Exactly what someone from Kevin's background would think of as the perfect catch and would want to hang onto. But are they a good match? Not if Kevin can only feel like himself around Patrick. I think Kevin's main conflict is not knowing the difference between what he wants

Personally, I didn't see Richie's words as a slight to Patrick. Brady is fun and carefree. Patrick is anal retentive and sensitive. To me it doesn't mean Richie doesn't still love Patrick. Fun can also be off putting in excess.

"Let them hate, as long as they are afraid."

When Abbi and Jeremy started getting busy I was really sad at first because on TV that means they're done for but then Illana came in and calmed me with now that Abbi can get over her crush she can move on and be open to all the possibilities. A great move for S2.

"It's so reasonably priced!"

"Help me find it."

Also with a dash of the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee?

The Nightman Cometh. Hands down.

One thing I do appreciate is the effort they put into differentiating the character relationships/actor pairings from season to season. No one could mistake the sick, twisted Fiona and Axman affair for Elsa and Massimo's beautiful, tragic one. I come for the comedy, gore, man-ass, and production design but stay for

Poor Toulouse.

Monument Valley.

The title of this episode, "Orphans", had me really hoping that Elsa, mother of all freaks, was going to die. Not only that Elsa would die, but that AHS would be brave and kill off Lange early. So I watched this episode in the wrong head space to say the least. Do I like Pepper? Sure. Was Grossman's acting affecting?

To me, Bette & Dot's arc was learning to work together to overcome their struggles and being there for each other. I didn't mind it.

P.S. Everyone can hate on Emma Roberts all they please, but Esmeralda called it.
