Folks, it's not even October yet. Can we at least wait until November to discuss what a horrible time we're going to have during the holidays?

Thoughts in amber

Judging from the previews alone, I'd say they deserve it.

Let's all chip in to pay it off

So much money that you run out of places to put it

I'd like to see a Tarantino remake of Krull. It would be better than the original, that's for damn sure.

A new Kevin Smith movie!!

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the comic book, was an achievement nearly on the level of Watchmen. A fun story, high concept and more detailed than it first appears.

Seems like self-hate to me.

Gong!

Not criticizing you, Donna. Especially since I have not read the book. It may be wonderful, but not really the type of thing I'd read. I just can't stand cliches and I've heard that one enough to last an endless summer.

I have to disagree with this review's take on Pacino's overacting. I don't know if he understands that he is a lot more effective when he is quiet, contained and simmering.

Amen.

I'd say bad writing is bad writing no matter what medium you're dealing with. Even the most absurd bullshit can work if the person in charge is committed to it — and talented.

After that summer, nothing would be the same.

Nathan, if you wrote about "Smoking Aces", it would have to be under a regular column titled "This Fucking Movie Fucking Sucked. Never watch this unless you want to throw away the time God gave you to live your life on something that will cause you great mental anguish."

I wish those hands would just push him over.

I disagree, irritant. Murphy was just the right mix of know-it-all and loony.

Ok, here are the rules:

Mr. Corbett will therefore get a pass for writing such a terrible, terrible movie. I look forward to his future efforts.
