Thank to the author for pointing out that Layne's image was obviously more than his real contribution to the band. This is very obvious listening to Cantrell's solo output and especially on the last "Black Gives Way To Blue". I'm so tired of people who barely know anything about the band whining about Layne. Of course

Yeah, "United By Fate" is a great, really underrated album("Pedals" was also a decent release). It's the right progression for Walter to have went into after Quicksand. Hell, half the songs were supposed to be on QS third album anyway. I was lucky enough to see QS and RS live and I have to say RS were really solid and

Finally someone who's not afraid to say it. The album is way overrated. It's completely ridiculous the praise that has been heaped upon it. Maybe one day he'll develop into a great artist, but right now he's way behind the artists he keeps getting compared to.

I have to agree that "DLLAL" is a terrible song but I also have to say who the f*ck is High On Fire on any scale? Almost every music "journalist" likes to use the word lazy in describing what other artists do. This is a truly lazy review about a band this idiot has no clue about. I agree that the 90's stuff is not up

As far as live shows go, Quicksand easily blew all the bands off the first Warped Tour(Sublime w/Brad Nowell, Sick Of It All, L7, etc…) which Walter helped put together. Shout out also to Rival Schools live. They weren't quite as intense, but they were still fantastic. Most people like "Slip" better, but I think

Once again, another dig at Audioslave. I'm sure the reviewer and other bashers never saw them live(and yes I saw SG live several times and after the "Badmotorfinger" tour, it was really no big deal). Like I said on previous posts, all those who whined got what they wanted. Instead of a multimillion selling solid album

If Prince finds out Gaga might be on it, he'll bail.

I'll give you credit for the Top 2, and having the underrated "Out Of Sight" in there, but there's no way in hell "Boogie Nights" is at least number 3(there's a great argument for it being number 2). "Chungking Express" is extremely overrated. I rushed out to see it when all the critics were raving about it. It turned

Great bands listed but I think these tracks are more suitable from same album/era:
Buffalo Tom-"Taillights Fade"
Sugar-"Good Idea"
Catherine Wheel - "Black Metallic"
Sonic Youth - "Drunken Butterfly"

Don't forget "Soft & Wet" was number 12 on the R & B charts and is an underrated classic. And also consider MJ only wrote about half of his hits in the early days of his solo career and pretty much none at the end. Except for the bloated "Emancipation", Prince has always written and performed his own material.

That being sad(above), this Fallon album is just okay. Most of his material on his show is much funnier than most of these mediocre bits.
