That being sad(above), this Fallon album is just okay. Most of his material on his show is much funnier than most of these mediocre bits.

I think Colbert knows he isn't a great singer but he takes advantage of the opportunities that all of us probably would if we had the chance. And at least he's funny. There's a lot of people who are on TV who are not funny but merely likable. Colbert, Fallon, & Kimmel are way beyond everyone else IMO.

You guys have some really great picks and a lot of pretentious picks. I'm sure you're going to hear Death In June somewhere randomly which would spur memories from the past(which is the whole point of this article).

Nice article. I also watched this episode and even videotaped it to watch over and over again. Me and a couple of buddies would get together and watch this one and a few others(Synchronized Dancers, Meekman Novelty 60 Mintues skit, etc…). I personally loved that season but I recently watched a lot of it again on

Another clueless review. Obviously not a PiL fan. Why is he the one doing it? Surely there is someone who works at the AV Club that's into the band. Or at least respectful.

This album is not "Love" or "Electric", but it's pretty decent. Among several things you forgot to mention, Chris Goss(Masters Of Reality, Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age) produced half of this album. And his production brings a lot more to the table than Bob Rock's.
BTW… Nu-metal thugs on "Beyond Good & Evil"? You

It is BS. The band is best experienced live but this album is solid and sounds the way it's supposed to. Who is reviewing the albums? Fired Rolling Stone interns?

Van Halen was so much better with Roth, blah blah blah. Both songs just sound like Roth's crappy solo material.

Just like his review of Jane's Addiction's latest album, I give it an F without having actually read it.

Not that this album isn't good for what it is(something the average person would never listen to), you really have no business reviewing this release and more mainstream artists and trashing them the way you did Jane's Addiction and pretty much the Metallica/Lou Reed album. I see you didn't have the balls to give the

What a pathetic half-assed review. You have to be a damn idiot to give that album an F. It's not their best, but it sure as hell is better than most of the dribble you guys, Pitchfork, & Stereogum jizz all over. Even Puscifer(which is pretty much Maynard's Revolting Cocks) gets a C+ from you. I guess someone from the

People who review "Zola Jesus" and give it a B+ have no business reviewing this album or band. I pretty much know the Van Halen catalog front and back and I can tell you that neither  Chickenfoot's first album or the latest sound like Van Halen musically. Yeah, it's the same singer who sold millions of albums with the

Insightful article. I do think that the left is being more sensitive to people of faith(including Christians) based on the fact that a lot of people turn back to their belief system once they grow older and have kids. I've noticed Jon Stewart has started taking up for some of the sensible believers. This probably has

This album is getting way too much hype and Ian is such a suck up & claims whoever is in the band is the best vocalist they've ever had, including the guy who was in the band for about 3 months. Bush is a thousand times better than anyone else they've ever had and they sh*t on him to go do a reunion tour no one wanted

I take it 2 of you are over 30. Jeez…
