Great point.
I had no problem with Beaver as the villain and the explanation for it, since I thought, outside of his relationship with Mac, they had been implementing subtle ways of making him seem more fucked up than he generally let on.  As somebody notes above, the writing in the scene on the roof is just a little

"I don’t know if the revelations—that she wasn’t a rich girl; that she
had a kid in NYC— actually help or hurt her character or Wallace’s. I
just can’t bring myself to care. Perhaps on a rewatch, it may add flavor
to her character from earlier in the season, but I suspect it’ll just
make her snobbishness seem even

To my knowledge, they never mention the Lovecast in Podmass, perhaps cause his column is on the main page and the Lovecast is mentioned there.

Sooo…  Christians don't know about the ipods or the interwebs?

Yeah, I feel like someone convinced her that, as a lady-type rapper, she has to sing, and thus we get a album that would be apoplectically awesome if she would stick to rapping through a whole fucking song.  I mean, her voice is ok, but my daddy always said stick to what you're good at.
Generally, I love her batshit

Eh my Guatemalan gardener occasionally does that for free.

I went through an Apartment 3G and Mary Worth phase myself, also for some inexplicable reason.
And even when it was terribly drawn, Dick Tracy is awxsome.  Like a personification of justice with no actual moral compass, trapped in a bizarre, nightmarish, pun-based world.

Goddam, that's gorgeous.  Particularly in comparison to the Chinese factory-produced brand name knockoff supercompressed jpeg bullshit that currently makes up the comics page.
Granted, my sampling comes exclusively from the Comics Curmudgeon.

Ok, let's see…
Algebraicly you cancel out on both sides of the colon, so "before" cancels "epilogue", which just leaves "Watchmen".
They're reprinting "Watchmen?"

Yeah, I heart Children's Hospital also.

Indeed, I think most of what the State has going for it is its age and relative unavailability.  I liked it at the time, and it certainly has set up a considerable pedigree (for some of the troupe).  But the sketches I've seen since, that the reverent have designated "funniest" are, you know, ok.  Kinda funny.
I think

Is that Jeff Tweedy's Russian equivalent up front?

Ok, I get that those of you who are familiar with law (as opposed to myself, I'm saying) probably enjoy arguing about this sort of thing, but look at fucking Law & Order.  The proceedings of actual trials need to be horribly mangled to make effective narrative tv, but once mutilated, it really really works.
Everyone

Aren't Meg's family crazy evangelicals?
This is consistent with other families I've known who have their own batshit brand of Christianity.  Anyone from their particular flock is preferable to a godless sinner, no matter how retarded.

I also agree with everything you've said, and also with Skittledog below.

I thought she was dead!

I was thinking more like:
"We didn't use a condom last night, so in a couple months I'll be flushing the cat."

Dad?
That's funny, my parents enjoy the series and agree that Sandra Bullock from ~5years ago would have been the best casting as Plum.  I don't think they know who Mo'Nique is, and they would disagree about the Rock.
From what they've told me, the books seem have a few funny moments that seem to have been completely

Italian-Hungarian?  Does that even count as "ethnic"?  It's like calling a half water whiskey sour from the bar at Chili's an "alcoholic beverage."

I consider it C+ the rich man's B.
Do you have disposable time and income?  Eh seeing it will keep you mildly entertained for 2 hrs.
