Meh, I never understood the appeal of that song. They wrote so many better ones than that.

Any primer on pop punk that fails to acknowledge Dirtnap Records is inherently flawed. It's been the most consistent pop punk label for the last 10 years.

I've tried so many times to enjoy that album, but it just never clicks. The songs seem so much more dumbed-down than anything from Diary. The Rising Tide is pretty decent.

One of the most haunting songs ever, in all honesty:

While Diary is a great album, I prefer How It Feels to Be Something On. "Every Shining Time You Arrive," "Guitar and Video Games" and "The Shark's Own Private Fuck" are my three favorite SDRE songs. Strangely enough, Pitchfork ranked HIFTBSO at #15 on their original list of the best albums of the 90s; when they

It will be a show about both a lawyer in Albaquerque AND a Cinnabon manager in Omaha.

Even GROUPLOVE?

Foetus, "Clothes Hoist"

Too many people weaned on MTV in this thread. Weezer? Outkast? Blink 182? This is why I've never really liked this feature. And the problem is that the majority of the bands who participate have formed in the last 3-4 and don't know anything about Mission of Burma or The Dismemberment Plan, and thus are quick to

Also, you could have wracked your brain and tried to come up with a more obscure and worthwhile song. Why not suggest a Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 song instead?

I thought it hadn't been posted at all. I reposted some of the songs individually below. Honestly, my reply comes so late that it probably doesn't even matter, though I would love to see a Polvo, Mission of Burma, or Unrest song get covered, even though most of the users here have probably never even heard of these

"Third Planet" was covered last time.

Descendents,

The guy on the left looks like Craig Finn on steroids.

King of the Hill sold out less than one hour after the sale started (I managed to put it in my cart, but its status changed to "backorder" as I was adding other items to my cart). I was going to pick it up based on the solid extras, even though I have never seen a Soderbergh film before. I normally don't bother with

It's a shame that this review wasn't posted yesterday. It would have been the perfect time to post about Criterion's annual February flash sale. There's only about 90 minutes left in this sale, and all of the new releases are out of stock, but you can still pick up some older titles at 50% off.
