TV high school is generally based on the era that the show's writers went to high school, so is probably still based on the 80s, or maybe 90s.

No offence but there's really no excuse for not even having heard of Homeland or Damian Lewis.

Well, the awards are general given out on the merits of the show itself, and not how much of a rabid following it has (see also, Community never winning outstanding comedy). BrBa and GOT may have more of a following on reddit but luckily thats not how they decide the winner.

I would guess it's because for all the series until now, it has been about the Labour Party, and they didn't want to be seen as an anti-Labour show, but simply about politics and Labour happened to be in power. They then have to keep this policy for fairness now that power has changed hands. Also BBC being public

It's pretty bizarre that we don't get NBC comedies on channels that people watch. E4/C4 seems to show around 8 US sitcoms every year and they (almost) exclusively use ABC and CBS shows. I'm not complaining too much, as the shows they import are generally good (Happy Endings, New Girl, Bitch 23, Suburgatory, HIMYM),

Is there any chance that there are enough people who want to watch a sitcom at 9pm on Tuesday's that all three (GO, NG, HE) could return next year, or are we going to see at least one of these get cancelled or at least moved?

"The comic (film) contains a vein of ironic dark humor that connects with a greater percentage of British readers (viewers) than with Americans (Keith Phipps)."
