You're exactly right. Friends got around 20million viewers for each episode and earned over $5 billion in worldwide revenue, being in the top ten most watched shows of the year for the entirity of its run, and still makes a healthy amount in reruns today. Obviously this was also down to writers, producers etc. but you

You knew it was coming each time, and edged close to overuse, but the final instance to Billy after they hugged was great.

Totally agree, I love the animation style and I'm enjoying the ongoing arc of the two characters vying for leadership of the group, I'm hoping that the decisions you make will have a cumulative effect, leading to the last chapter being vastly different depending on what you've chosen throughout the previous chapters.

In answer to your question, as a British tv nerd I can confirm that Breaking Bad is indeed held in high regard here. However, in a role reversal of the scenario in the US I can't say that it got much coverage among British tv critics (that I saw) but it is probably the most watched US show among people I know. It

You mention meeting Hugh's replacement next week. Does this mean you won't be spending a week on In The Loop.

Yeah I have the same issue, I assume everyone does. Unfortunately, due to lowish readership of Pulling reviews, I doubt the problem will be fixed, but I expect it will be fine for the next review.

Unfortunately no. I was planning to, but I remembered that becasue I have Virgin Media, I don't have sky atlantic. Apparantly it is being shown on sky1 later in the week so I will probably watch it then.

I remember reading somewhere that they had to redo that line more than any other they had done before, due to Elizabeth Taylor making it sound too sexual.

I can see your point about the similarities, but would say that whereas Girls has grown into a decent drama-comedy, with the drama elements working better for me than the sitcom aspects, Pulling works as an all out sitcom already and the characters seem well-drawn enough that I would be happy to spend the rest of the
