That Working Show
Gould wasn't bad on this show. Remember? With Fred Savage and Kenny Banya and some sorta hot-sorta plain office chicks and the Devo cover as the theme song?

Books dont count?
Because there are some fantastic Raymond Carver stories about relationships disintegrating.

Actually, this blog has been posting unedited WKRPs for sometime now. Go check them out:

Mystery Train
Maybe my favorite fucking movie. Also, pretty much anything else he's made with Jon Lurie or Tom Waits is fucking awesome.

It's growing on me
Mostly because I went in actively hating Poehler. I haven't liked her really since UCB. It seems to fit the character she feels like a characer I'm not supposed to like. She's funny because I hate her. It seems like how Michael Scott was meant to be before they went and made him likeable. The

Andy is fucking awesome because he has chemistry with everyone in the office. We've seen it this year with Dwight and with Oscar. Andy loves everyone, and if he works at it, he can't make anyone love him. For an episode at least. He's a fantastic character.

I'd never heard of it until we moved to our current locale last summer. The commercials try to make it look cool, but it looks lame as fucking shit. Chuck E. Cheese for adults. You know, for people who can't have fun just drinking and hanging out like normal folk.

So that's why every actress turns into Robert Z'Dar. I'd rather have a couple lines here and there than a baseball mitt face.

Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock?

She should have retired after My Stepmother's an Alien. Better to go out on top.

Agreed on Party Down. The wife and I stumbled upon that on On Demand and have been watching it since… Long live Bill Haverchuck.

Leave it to the AV Club commenters to turn a discussion on Short Cuts and its best parts (Waits and Tomlin in the "They're Not You're Husband scenes - fucking closest Carver has come to film realization) and turned it into a discussion of that fucking shitty Comedy Central Saturday morning Nazi poison apple bullshit

DENNIS FUCKING WILSON.

Dirty Dingus Magee.

Me and my jackass friends did drunken Van Morrison kicks when Caravan played at my wedding.

I pee while I'm on the phone pretty often.

I posted the following in the wrong thread four days ago and nobody who cares will ever see it, but whatever…

Retirement Castle Picnic
I liked seeing the sons of Crazy Old Man and Jasper. Jasper's son looked a lot like Zach Galifinakas.

Another great Willeford adaptation is The Woman Chaser with Patrick Warburton… fucking brilliant parody/homage/straight attempt at a noir… a great book and a great film that isn't on dvd. I've got it on VHS from years and years ago.

I love Gene Hackman more. His last movie sucked also.
