I saw that Hulu was streaming Criterion Sci-fi over the weekend, so I tried to watch Solaris, World on A Wire and La Jetee.  Solaris looked great, and was well-acted if pretty slow.  It included one of my pet peeves,which is the idea that scientific discovery and explanation are at odds with the human sense of wonder.…
