Friday: Received shitty job-related news and proceeded to get drunk. Think I watched a bit of Quantum of Solace. At some point decided High On Fire's De Vermis Mysteriis is the best album of the year.
I think Leslie is a great character, but the show really needs to take a couple episodes a season to demonstrate that Pawnee deserves her devotion if it wants to continue in the civically-minded direction its moving towards, without making Leslie seem delusional.
I guess my problem is that all of the other pairings on the show have seemed natural and earned, while the Tom and Ann relationship just seems like the writers needed something to do with the characters. I'll withdraw the complaint if the show takes the time to let Tom mature, which I think it is capable of doing.
