Someone already pointed this out below, but it's worth noting here, too.  The book goes through elaborate contortions of logic and journalistic ethics to absolve Paterno of any wrongdoing.  So, yeah, hopefully if this film gets made, it'll be "based on" very loosely.

You skipped the part where, after the tea-baggers were sentenced to community service, Republicans would go bat-shit about Obama's "Gestapo Tactics" and the sentences would be completely revoked and   the President would end up apologizing for everything, while the tea-baggers all got contracts at FOX News.
