Agreed. For what its worth, yes men do tend to lack emotional relationships outside of romantic ones and I would say that is due to the sexist culture we live in effecting men in a very particular way (that is not trying to say that it at all harms men equally to women).

Was that because covering Tool was an affront to the sanctity of Tool's music or because they just couldn't "handle" the outthereness of Tool?

Multitasking is an empirically shitty way to do work. I don't care about the rest of this discussion

Listen, that's all well and good for Patton, but can we stop looking into his personal life/love life now? I understand the death of his wife was quite a public thing but I don't like the way this is followed around here like some TMZ article about some boy band or something. There's something unseemly about following

Good point, thanks. I like short digestible seasons. I will give it whirl.

Is it really unexpected though? I don't want to shit on Megan Fox b/c I've never actually seen anything she's been in, but even if she was a good actress I somehow don't think Hollywood would really give her a fair shake. Shia LaBouf can be distracting with all his other bullshit floating around him, but he is

Well….in this day and age, doesn't exactly seem like the best system….

Agree. As much as I am loving the new Twin Peaks, I am glad its technically called "Twin Peaks: The Return". The last episode of Season 2 is still "The last episode" to me.

FLCL was one of those animes that I totally just missed despite hearing how incredible it was. Does it hold up, will it blow my thirty something mind in the way it would have blown my late teens/earl twenties mind?

Tennis players are strangely hyper masculine for a sport that….isn't very.

Can i just send him my VHS copy of Trash Humpers?

David Lynch did it better

I do not know what this is based on. Are the comics good?

I legit have no recollection that Curse of Chucky is a thing that happened.

Like that time I missed seeing "Vic and the Rattleheads" at Saint Vitus! I waited for two hours at that damn place to get tickets when they suddenly decided to raffle them off rather than sell them to people who stood in line!! Argh!

Wow i didn't know that about Big Ed. I actually wish we get more of the Big Ed and Norma storyline. I am loving this season and will be totally okay if we don't even get back to Twin Peaks, but I would still love more checking in with the O.G. cast. They're old, let's use them!

I just kind of imagine the bands are unknown in the world of Twin peaks or that we see these bands and whatever is actually playing in the roadhouse is a lot more mundane.

That's fair. Honestly I was rewatching the test sequence and to me, it had me spellbind and i'll tell you why. A. The music, I had never heard it before and I love dissonant stuff, so I was digging the music hard and B. The video effects. The swarming, the static black and white how it starts to move like a tornado as

The more I think about it, the more the scenes with Catherine Coulson are truly beautiful to me. Here is a woman, literally dying of cancer, unadorned on screen, who kicks off the entire action of the show. She has been with David Lynch since Eraserhead and its such a beautiful tribute to a lifelong friend and fellow

Thank you so much for this.
