What I think a lot of people might be missing with the Dougie/Coop conversation is that old coop aint coming back even if he regains control of his faculties. He has experienced things that are literally un-understandable in place where the darkest of spirits dwell. He's not going to be a happy go lucky guy after that…
I don't have sanctity for the original the way some people do, though I do like it, but this movie WAS significantly worse. It wasn't totally awful, it just wasn't all that funny, or really good in any real way.
Bondage, but also Matriarchy polyamory and lie detectors. The creator of Wonder Woman was an interesting cat.
I think art can be used therapeutically but I agree it wasn't being done so in relation to the black actress. That said, couldn't the actress be willing to allow herself to be used for another's artistic purpose in the same way a sub willingly hands over their agency for the joy of serving their dom?
Is Lucy really the dispatcher though? Isn't she more of a secretary and takes non-emergency calls?
Is objectification always a negative? Can't people willfully engage in self objectionable for their own gratification and can't that translate into performance? Can't we recognize and celebrate the primal and the shadow within us in order for it not to control us?
I like the Civil War stuff, its hokey but hokey in a fun way, same with Super Nadine. Heck I like the Mayor and his brother, other than some of the Mill stuff and the Evelyn stuff, I still like most of that weird mid section in season 2.
isn't it fun!?!
The only things I care about is A. Having 18 hours of new Lynch content after 10+ years B. Being able to spend more time in the world of Twin Peaks (and unfiltered Lynch-Twin Peaks at that). and C. A strong critical response and good numbers that might encourage producers to give Lynch money for another film.
I still need to see episode 3 and 4, saving to watch them tomorrow.
F'ing kids
I read it years ago and discovered it, I want to say though a coworker, knew nothing about him or the book. The copper story is the one that I remember most from it. I have always meant to check out more of his stuff, maybe now I will finally get around to it.
This looks pretty chill
What's with all the stupid gadgets?
I was recently watching Lost Highway with my dad and, well, I should of remembered how much nudity was involved with a film about male impotence.
This soundtrack is great
Jeez now I'm watching clips of Clerks and the scene where Veronica calls Dante out on his bullshit is so on point. It is making my cringe about similar shit i have bulled way later in my life than is close to excusable.
I totally forgot there was necrophilia in this movie.
That stood out to me as well, but I guess realistically the relationship would have run its natural course.
