I used Gchat all the fucking time for work. Then I think maybe it turned into hangouts but I still used it like gchat? I dunno.

Hard G, jesus, what is with nerds and the soft "g". No sane person uses a soft "g"
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! I use this all the time, for like…legitimate work purposes too!!!
I will probably give it a watch at some point. I am trying not to get too harsh on this live action movie because the franchise itself is fairly varied in styles and to an extent quality that it become ones more on the pile to take or leave.
Agreed, whatever he is working on instead of this I am sure will be very worthwhile.
No, I have only seen the trailer, I don't care for the style (though maybe I am just being an old man about it). Is it any good?
So, basically what's wrong with all of corporate america?
Under the Skin is fantastic. I really wish they got the director of that movie to direct GiTS. They are similarly along the lines of tone, atmosphere and the meaning of identity (as well as gender issues). What a missed opportunity.
There was a subtle concern for her origins but that wasn't the focus and they did it in a thoughtful intelligent way. The Major was competent, confident and extremely intelligent and capable. Here she just seems "oh no! the evil powers that be done me wrong!"
Serious question. I know there are people on these comments that work in the industry and I would like to ask them, are studio execs really that fucking awful?
Hahhaa, I mean, Bebop is a stone cold classic, no doubt, but for my money its GiTS. As for Fooley Cooley, I have never seen it (heresy I know, I will get around to it one day).
I do really love Blade Runner but there are some plot holes that always kind of irk me. I recently rewatched GITS in theaters and I think I have to put it above Blade Runner as well.
You talkin' 95 movie or Stand Alone Complex?
If they don't have tons of overly complicated exposition about politics of a future Japanese bureaucracy, COUNT ME THE FUCK OUT!
Well, I like self serious movies so you may not enjoy it, but while there is a bit of dorm room "THAT"S SO DEEP DUDE" it is actually quite thoughtful and evocative. If the themes don't grip you (and if you like Blade Runner I don't see why they wouldn't) than you can at least appreciate the face that these…
I understand not being blown away if you're older, but what Anime is better than Ghost in the Shell? I think it is second only to possibly Grave of the Fire Flies and honestly, I would rather watch GITS than GOTFF
It is great. The dialogue is a bit clunky but the Tone, Atmosphere, Level of Detail, Setting, and Themes are absolutely incredible. Better than Blade Runner in some respects to be honest. I mean, it isn't like THE DEEPEST THING EVER! But it probably one of the best movies of the past 25 years easily.
Fucking Holy shit, she was 50 in that? That just blew my fucking mind. I think she was great as Jean Grey and I wish we coudl more movies with her in the role.
I mean, I am as fatigued as anyone but I am all about giving Michael Shannon a higher profile. Plus I always end up watching them on t.v. at some point anyway (except any non Captain America Marvel movies and Dawn of Justice)
No, but he always does interesting projects and if anyone can make a Terminator rip off (who I actually like for no real reason) interesting, it is him. Besides there is plenty of time in a year, he can crank out great work in between.
