You mean the movie with the giant shit monster?

Maybe Kevin Smith should work at an insurance company for six months and find out how adults act and maybe try writing a story about one of those.

I'll have to do some digging, see if I can find out anything about it.

I don't know, that sounds like the correct move to me.

Clerks has Stars? Also that is sad but maybe he should put some actual fucking effort into his newer movies.

I like fun!

I never read the book because the title was so gag inducing. Is it worth overcoming my aversion?

Not all of us are like that.

Agreed but the difficulty is finding qualified people with the backing of the party to run for local and state government. Plenty of inspired Bernie volunteers (some more qualified than others) ran for state and local office and a good number lost. The democratic party needs to start welcoming these people and

He's starting to look like Al Jorgensen

I hear you, my bigger concern is that it will be a generic action film and not the slow meditative masterpiece that the '95 film is (not saying that the '95 film didn't have its cheesy dialogue but the trailer to the new film gives me worries cliche wise).

I have seen bits of SAG but to me, the '95 film is a Classic and nothing comes close to touching it. The Atmosphere, Tone and level of detail in that movie is absolutely astonishing and it leaves me breatheless everytime I see it. It is honestly one of the Top Ten movies ever made for me and I'm not much of an Anime

People do understand what an adaptation is, but this comes on the heels of a pattern of behavior that takes Asians out of their own works. If you wanted to change the story and set it in America or make it more sensible to the story as to why she is white that would be one thing. But this is bending over backwards

I find that second reason re: Dr. Strange a lot more odious than the whitewashing. Admittedly that's coming from a guy with SWM privilege.

In my mind most Anime characters always looked either Caucasian or at least ethnically ambiguous, HOWEVER, after seeing the '95 Ghost in the Shell in theaters this week (and seeing it for at least the 10th time) something finally hit me.

Umm what's with the snark AvClub? David Gordon Green has done a slew of great understated dramas and Danny McBride has real acting chops. This is one of those outside the box filmmakers who can bring a fresh perspective to (what I always thought) was a pretty thin genre film.

It's true, many places do have good, even great pizza, but New York has the best.

Little Vincent's in Lake Ronkonkoma has the best pizza on Long Island

Because you said NJ that's why.

New York has the best pizza, but Di Fara is overrated.
