Not to be the inflammatory dick about it, but aren't the Belmont's cursed with eternally fighting Dracula, I feel that would suck the air out of the victory, Sypha gets to go back to being a (I imagine) successful warlord. Grant's whole family is dead, Alucard just killed his dad, Sypha has her warlord family.

I love Refn and his movies, I think they are one or two ingredients away from being amazing movies (except Drive, which is great). I am privately jealous that Jodorowsky has chosen him as his film heir. I think he needs a little more energy and diversity of images to really take that crown.

So glad it was in wide release. I saw it in a theater of five people (two were with me) and we loved the shit out of it. His work with color and lights is made for a theater sized screen.

I just heard of Embrace of the Serpent, very excited to watch it.

Wow, that's very interesting to me. I love the shit out of Drive and its soundtrack. I will check this out when I get the chance. Thanks for the link!

I agree. Fuck the Oscars. Not to shit on 12 Years a Slave (haven't seen it, but meaning to) but there was a leaked email from an Academy member basically admitting she hadn't seen the film but figured it was the right thing to do. Like, I am all for diversity in films but people voting for a golden statue for

Love your Avatar.

I think it should win an award. I find most Oscar movies boring and pandering as fuck. The Neon Demon is very singular and is extremely well made. It should win best cinematography. Good performances. Not every movie needs to rip your guts out emotionally (though I love those films too).

If you liked it. It is good.

Link to the music please? I like noise and I like jazz.

Zach Hill's solo stuff and his work with Hella are equally face melting.

Hell Yes for The Body

This looks very good.

You might just be an adult

One day I would like to meet an honest to god hollywood executive. They must actually be good at their jobs and have some honest to god insights that we just don't see right?

Am I the only one who liked the Green Lantern movie (despite my usual exasperation with comic book movies?)

Goonies sucks!

The Ghostbusters had a literal nuclear reactor. You're god damn right they should have been shut down.

I am surprised by Heather Langenkamp's age. When I finally saw Nightmare on Elm street I thought "wow, they actually used teenagers for this movie. I wish they still did that."

Unverified. Trump is hideous but let's not allow the intelligence community to undermine the people's awful awful choice. https://theintercept.com/20…
