I think the Star Wars Prequels are probably closer to George Lucas' vision than the OT. He says he based it on old serials and Flash Gordon. If there was a bit more fun and pizazz to them, that's what they would be.

As someone who thinks the very idea of making this movie is total blasphemy, it MIGHT actually be kind of good. I don't like how blue that night scene looks and how over-saturated the lights look in that scene.
