Melissa's dress strikes me as something that would look really cool for a few minutes and then you'd spend the rest of the night holding it up. I just don't believe that fabric would stand up for hours on its own. It also wouldn't work for anyone with larger than model sized breasts.

Yeah, the one problem with the movie version is that Jack is an insane asshole from the get go. I do wonder though if that was intentional, or because Nicholson is a bit limited acting wise. I've never seen him play stable or warm convincingly.
