Well you still need to go to Old Yharnam for the Pthumerian Chalice to gain access to the chalice dungeons. This also opens up the door in the chapel of Odeon to allow access to the old hunters workshop and eventually Upper Cathedral Ward.

Yeah once you beat the Blood Starved Beast it opens up the locked doors in Cathedral Wards oval area allowing access to the Grand Cathedral and Vicar Amelia. You can just buy the key to open the doors earlier.

I think you really need to go to Old Yharnam before you can properly explore the Ward, unless you bought the key from the messenger bath.

Maybe have a wee race at Forza Horizon 3 and if i have the time maybe try push on with NG+ on Bloodborne but in all honesty i really can't see me playing much other than Gears all…
