nah the one for At the Codfish Ball was the best

I loved the call backs to Remedial Chaos Theory, and liked the episode as a whole. I thought the episode was really funny, and it set up nicely for the last 4 episodes of the season. I thought it was probably one of the best non-concept episodes this year. Great episode for the Dean, Britta, and Annie (Edison out!)
I don't necessarily think it's true that there HAS to be a lead. There have been plenty of movies and tv shows that have truly been ensemble, for example the 2005 Best Picture winner, Crash. However, this show does have two leads: Claire and Phil. The reason why they were nominated as supporting was because they filed…
I would LOVE to see Gillian get some attention, but those supporting categories are so competitive for comedy. Hopefully the academy will recognize their faults in snubbing Community for the past two years
I'd actually like to see a spin-off where Phil and Luke go on a cross-country road trip. I'd watch that.
I agree. The Blind Banker and the Hounds of Baskerville were my least favorite, but neither was bad at all. The closest it got were moments in the hounds of baskerville that verged on mediocre, but that's it
I don't think Ed and Sofia should go lead. They aren't the lead characters. If anyone should campaign as lead, it should be Julie and Ty, as the Dunphy's have essentially become the central family.
are you for real? I can see how you might believe that if you watch a single episode of BBT and then a single episode of Community. However, when you watch the series as a whole and examine the minute nuances in each and every episode that create a character arc that lead up to an emotionally fulfilling episode like…
not normally, but in this circumstance I just felt that it was too much. Just my opinion.
I used to love this show. I thought that it could do no wrong. I cheered when it won 5 emmys last year. It is still hilarious at times, but the quality has greatly dipped. It is hard to give an episode an A or even a B when there were plenty of season 1 and 2 episodes that were funnier and far more creative. that's…
oh there's no doubt that everyone in the cast is talented. I just don't think that they're talented enough to take 6 out of 12 supporting comedy performance nominations at the emmys
they're comedians, and most likely astute improvisationists, so the answer would be yes if the only other option is a corny, unfunny, rehearsed bit
Hm I seem to hate the episodes that everyone loves. The Jay plot line was just not funny and poorly acted, the Phil plot line was funny but you could see it coming a mile away, Claire knocking her tooth out proved that the writers are relying more on sight gags this season than actually funny scripts, and the…
I actually wouldn't mind that either. I've never liked Jay all that much, and we all saw on SNL that Sofia Vergara doesn't have much range outside of Gloria. I used to like Cam and Mitchell a lot because I thought that they were a progressive view of a serious gay relationship on network tv, but lately they've just…
@dispozblcopy: I'm pretty sure that Julie and Ty are still running as supporting, although they could arguably move up to lead. I like Julie, but the writing for Claire this year has just increased her shrillness and obnoxiousness. Either the writers have acquired a very strange sense of humor of they just hate Julie.…
Oh God I hope so. I haven't seen either yet as I don't have HBO, but I've read that they're great. I did hear about MF losing to Parks and Rec, but I'm not sure how much that will affect to emmys. I follow a awards predictions website and despite all the criticism, Modern Family is still in the lead by far over Parks…
I know… and due to the unfortunate writing, Nolan Gould and Ty Burrell are the only two who have given Emmy nomination worthy performances this season
I used to love Modern Family, but if it wins Best Comedy at the Emmy's over more deserving shows like Parks and Rec or 30 Rock (even though they both haven't been having their greatest seasons), I'll flip. I mean how can it even get a nomination if Community can't? the politics of awards shows is mind boggling.
ah… Leo. Forgot about him. I've convinced myself that he must be a figment of my imagination (a nightmare really) since I can't fathom any network, even NBC, allowing such a brutal character on their broadcast. Maybe that's why they fired the showrunner. To get Leo out of there.
