I liked all the stuff that wasn't Grandma Gallagher. I thought Ethel bolting with Malik was downright unexpected. The Ian and Lip stuff remains very tense and bubbly and not overbearing.

Just a really entertaining episode. Nothing that'll end up on anyone's Top 10 list at the end of the year, but just fun and enjoyable start to finish.

I doubt they go through with Karen having a kid. She could possibly even be lying about the whole thing, after their brief dalliance in the bathroom at the Alibi Room.

Was anyone else a little disappointed that the writers and Veronica see Kevin as dumb? I'd always thought of him as one of the smarter, more competent characters on the show.

Mike O'Malley wrote this. This show has the weirdest writing staff on TV.

"She absolutely loved it up the ass. God rest her beautiful soul."

Touche, McNutt!

The lack of talk about Bryzgalov's insanity in this review is confusing to me. Definitely the highlight of the show.

Steve, you're in the Story Pirates? I saw the benefit you guys did with Jon Stewart et al. That was a really good time. You guys are doing awesome work.

Seriously, if they could stretch the Nightman Cometh into a full-length musical and get people to come, they should be performing this anywhere possible during the hiatus.

I'll be the one to say it:

Also, it could use the boost too. The move to Wednesdays lost the show 30% of it's audience. NBC/Comcast is trying to kill Joel's career in one fell swoop.

Apparently it's a song from Dan Harmon's show Harmontown.

I remember that because Joe Rogan always tells that story of how Dave Foley leaned over to him after Phil lost and said "what's a guy gotta' do to win an Emmy?"

Final thing I wanted to mention: The show leaves the air in January, but on the 16th, NBC is re-running the claymation Christmas show. I know it won't help, but I just wanted to make sure everyone who doesn't have it on DVD knows, because I love it.

I just love that Shirley got to reprise Jeff's frequent "Shut up, Leonard!" line. That might be my favorite recurring thing on the show.

I'm really going to miss having this comment thread around for a few months. Is there any way we can substitute it with weekly open threads/recaps of The Soup? I mean, I'm just spitballing here, but Joel's had a cast member of Community on every week since the hiatus got announced anyway…

Considering the amount of screen time she's gotten, seeing Yvette Nicole Brown really get a chance to shine in an episode is great. I kind of feel like, other than Pudi, if anyone ought to get a Community Emmy nomination, it should be her.

"Community college is just so hard to write about!"

That was my biggest laugh. I kind of wanted that character to be Will Forte from SNL for some reason.
