Breaking Bad
I've only watched the first two seasons of BB, but I'm going with Walt Jr/Flynn. His acting is fine and all, but I just don't see much happening to his character. I can live with him just being the troubled teen, but in a show where so many of the characters seem to be so interesting and well-written,

I was in the same boat. Hope it wasn't just a big fake-out.

Fair enough. I didn't think it was such a bad year for metal, but many wouldn't lump it in with "rock and roll" anyway…

Hey, winning a People's Choice Award shouldn't hurt the cause, right? Go, FRINGE!

fastandsloppy is right: bring on Fringe Fridays! Anna Torv has really started to steal scenes with her acting. Hopefully, Fox will pick up another season.

…one could even say Jesse's been vaulted to fame?

…perhaps he once was a high school biology teacher before he got hooked on meth?

You lucky 'mericans! Canada's version of Netflix doesn't include BB. Grrr! So, now I'm picking up S1 and 2 on DVD. This show is so good, that it justifies the purchase.

The Thing!
I'm looking forward to the new version of The Thing coming October. The new R.E.M. doesn't sound very catchy - nobody will be listening to that particular track at least in 6 months' time.

Definitely at least an "A" episode. The last 20 minutes were some of the best I've seen in a long, long time. Loved the scenes with the ringing bell.

Loved the final 5 minutes though - dammit I was tearing up seeing that darn dog with Jack. Perfect ending.

Speaking of which, does anyone have any experience with the new Windows 7 phones? The look pretty sweet, and the whole idea of a design that helps you quickly find the 5-6 things you usually look for on your phone is pretty attractive.

"Black Thumbnail", "Crawl" and "True Love Way" are still keepers. Much of the rest has faded away.

Plus, you need to be a milk lover if meth does that to your teeth! Yuk!

Fringe! Absolutely! S3 has been amazing so far. The acting and writing have really been strong. Ana Torv, in particular, has been outstanding this season.

The Fighter
The wife and I enjoyed The Fighter - well acted, and a decent story. I'm kinda surprised that it hasn't been drawing bigger crowds. Christian Bale's performance alone was worth the price of admission.

I know this is Apples vs. Oranges, but…
I know we're only looking at the best TV series here, but this has also been a must-watch year for NHL hockey. Parity has well and truly hit the league, and - especially in the West - it looks like there may be 12-14 teams that have a legit shot at the playoffs. The CBC has

Fringe just keeps getting better. The story has really gained a life of its own, and the acting and writing have both been top-notch in S3. Hopefully, it will get at least one more year to satisfyingly wrap everything up. I just hope that a sufficient number of casual fans will pick up S3 on DVD this summer - it's

I enjoyed the LOST finale, and found at least some closure with it. Yes, in hindsight, the whole temple thing was a goofy waste of time, but let's face it: there was no way in hell the writers were going to tie up all the loose ends. For me, at least, FRINGE has nicely filled any hole the end of LOST may have

Completely agree re: both Alan Alda and Salma Hayek. 30 Rock rocks!
