I thought DURAN DURAN might have done the soundtrack…
Yeah, for all the people knocking HTTM's unfulfilled potential, RED had that problem in spades. Look at that cast! RED should have been waaaaay better than it was.
Kinda liked the Mastodon soundtrack…
I agree with the squandered potential that was HTTM, but it still had waaaay more laughs than The Hangover. I also caught myself laughing more than once at The Ugly Truth, but I might have just been over-tired at the time.
Thoroughly enjoyed Angel Dust as well. Hopefully, FNM will continue their reunion tour in 2011. I saw them open for GnR and Metallica back in the day. Good times.
Gimme Coast To Coast AM over late-night sports talk radio any time! Back when I moonlighted as a night watchman (sorry) George Noori and Art Bell kept me happily distracted for many a shift.

Is there room on the Agalloch bandwagon for one more? I love how their music has so much atmosphere. "Ghosts of the Midwinter Fires" is currently taking me somewhere far, far away.
Agalloch!
Wow! Thanks for turning me on to Agalloch, folks! There's so much going on here. Definitely heavy, but offset by all the ambient nature sounds and stuff - analog goodness for your headphone experience.
I caught the Big 4 show when it was simulcast in theatres - does the DVD have any decent extras?
Great Year-End Summary
My favourite would be Kylesa's latest. It's amazing how much more I relate to this list than the other, mainstream list. I'm not really a death metal fan, but a lot of this stuff flat-out rocks.
Careful with that Blackjazz commute, bungle77! One needs to be situated in a carefully controlled environment before listening to such challenging music.
I loved JPod, and Hey, Nostradamus! was good - well, at least it was quite different from the themes DC seemed to be frequently exploring.
…and part of every day!
KISS, folks! C'mon! Definitely lacking when it comes to their studio work, but they own the stage. It's contagious when you see them live - you just can't avoid being excited when you see these guys live. Larger than life. Actual rock stars. I loved their wall of amps on the latest tour -…
I heard that SpiderPig will be Batman's new crime-fighting buddy, but that may just be an unsubstantiated rumour…
One of the problems with shows like LOST, The Event and Fringe are that if you've missed a few episodes, there' s no way in Hell that any of the current stuff will make sense…therefore NO new viewers. The core audience typically takes a hit over the weeks, so you end up with what you've got here - a real problem for…
Less Black Metal, Please!
So much of this stuff sounds exactly the same - maybe I've got dead ears, mate, but I, for one, would appreciate more mainstream metal and hard rock reviews.
It always amazes me that for all the people who either professed love, admiration, respect, etc. for Cobain, NOBODY seemed to care enough to help the guy. Obviously, Cobain struggled with drugs and depression for years, yet nobody apparently thought enough of him to keep him away from drugs and firearms? Was…
It's a poor workman who blames his tools…
Rumour has it, they're even renewed for yet another season…
