Yea. At first I was surprised how easily Oliver and Sara seemed to be ready to leave, but it makes sense that those two are probably more comfortable with pain and loss at this point.

Yes. Thea taking down Malcom and then helping Sara take down Darhk like that was awesome and so satisfying!

Haha yea. That montage was dumb. I love this show but…wow that was dumb. Just had to focus on J'onn to get the point across.

I didn't realize James was MIA after the cold open until I read your comment. And I actually enjoyed the comedy of secrets at the beginning!

I think you answered your own question: comics :D

YES. And if Lena fills in for Cat and becomes a confidante/friend for Kara as well, then all the better.

The fact that they got together in this episode and not 5 episodes from now has me convinced she's gonna die by the end of the season for some reason. But I have hope Supergirl won't disappoint.

Interesting point about bugs. I thought she just wanted to handle it on her own with subterfuge (kinda like the episode with the alien guns and Winn under the table). But, if she thinks her office is bugged, that would also make sense.

I was actually relieved when she 'turned' because I was like no way it happens that fast. And I want her to stay good, at least for a good long while. She was so excited when she saw Supergirl after she saved her. Loved that, and her relationship with Kara the 'reporter'.

Yea, I agree. Of course, I felt the same way about Superman last season and they ended up bringing him on, and very successfully. But I don't want to see Lex; Lena and her mother are interesting enough on their own.

Yes! It was really unexpected and, given the comments so far, a bit overlooked, but Kara was really f*cked up, like combination of Red kryptonite as @disqus_cjBJmqbzSS:disqus said, and giving deathbed declarations to Alex like in last season's finale. Scary.

Eh, I feel the opposite. Usually secret-keeping is to protect the person which is always ridiculous, often on a number of levels. Here, they know that if Kara finds out she will shut. it. down. As well she should.

And he was interesting as a photographer! Well, not that interesting. But it was different. This is just more of the same, done better elsewhere.

It's crazy that they managed to pull off Laurel's arc (IMO very well and very surprisingly), but this James thing is so terrible. They salvaged LAUREL of all people. But not James.

Valid points though they didn't bother me and I really liked the episode, personally.

I definitely agree with your first paragraph. As Alex was giving her speech in this episode, I was like 'Wow she's being really unfair but I totally understand why she she feels that way'.

I had thought at the time she left that it would be a mystery we'd find out about when she came back for an episode (or two). Still hoping that's true, but am not sure anymore. I miss her.

Yea, my read is that she does have feelings for Alex, but coming off a bad break up and with Alex being 'fresh of the boat' she doesn't want a relationship right now and knows it's a bad idea. Thus, she really wants to remain friends.

I loved this episode. Yes, there is still probably too much going on, but it was all great (except maybe some of the Guardian stuff). A couple surprises, high stakes, and a number of emotional conversations which is pretty much why I'm here at this point. A-

Yes, to both your points!
