I'm still trying to decide exactly how I feel about this movie. I didn't think Jia really creates much of an equivalence between the actions of the different main characters, but from my perspective the first segment had kind of a wish-fulfillment vibe, which registered to me as somewhat of an implicit endorsement of

I went to a screening of Jia Zhangke's A Touch of Sin tonight. I started writing a review, but then I remembered that I'm terrible at writing and I kind of hate it anyway, so here are my brief thoughts:

No, I refuse to hang in there! You're not my supervisor!

H.A.G.S.!

Let's keep saying things we want: a closer friendship with you that includes road trips. Your turn.

They do the same thing on Facebook. I think it's so they have something to do on weekends, and the idea is to post things that might have been missed during the week.

I was cornered!

Wow. I just now realized that was Tig Notaro.

Wow. I just now realized that was Tig Notaro.

The old reach-around.

So with new Disqus, is the oldest-first lifestyle going to die out? I…I don't know what to do. Someone please hold me.
