My Economics teacher offered to give us extra credit for reading Atlas Shrugged, but I was wise enough to skip that one. The next semester he encouraged us to read Starship Troopers, which is itself a fairly stupid book but probably much more fun than Ayn Rand.
We were supposed to read it sophomore year, but as far as I remember I only made it through about half. At the time, I considered it even worse than A Separate Peace, which we were also required to read that year.
