Does anyone else get the idea that now that the pedophile hilarity is pretty much exhausted, Doc & Jackson are setting Sgt. Hatred up for a heroic self-sacrifice?

Totally agree. I never would have believed it either, but I was grinning like an idiot during that whole scene.

When I was a little kid, I remember some show in which the camera would move from panel to panel over some classic DC Comics stories, while a narrator and some actors read the text. It was probably as tacky and as low-budg as you can get, but to my little boy self it was a godsend.
