I still think we might, or, as others have speculated, Osha will fill in for them and Maester Luwin will fill in for her staying with Rickon.  I'd MUCH prefer getting the Reeds, but we'll see.

Why does Dany go to the House of the Undying in the books?  I completely forget I was that bored by her storyline in book 2.  I've loved everything else that she's done in the other books, but oh man, she really did just sit around in CoK.

@avclub-af93a69093757cf8412bb476bb1b9e74:disqus Costco's liquor store usually has a few very reasonably priced single malt scotches, but it's always iffy which ones you'll find 'cause they all do their own ordering.  At standard liquor store (as opposed to say, a BevMo), yah, you're right, you'll have trouble finding

Jaime and Tyrion both independently figure it out.  Joffrey heard Robert mention that death would be a gift compared to living in a coma or being paralyzed, and desperate to please his father he sent the killer.  Joffrey didn't realize that the knife he gave the killer was so valuable (largely

There's a liquor store that does free engraving on bottles of Johnny Blue right around Christmas.  I've been sorely tempted to stand around and tell anyone that tries to buy it (for fucking $300!) that $50 will get you a bunnahabhain, a balvenie double wood or an oban, all of which are better than Johnny Blue.

I love that whisky comment.  I feel very much the same way whenever anyone goes on about how good any Johnny Walker is (blue is tasty, but oh lord overpriced.  Make it 1/6 the cost and then it's worth purchasing).

I spent, swear to god, three weeks looking for Schala right before going to fight Lavos.  I went everywhere you possibly could go.  No Schala!

I always thought that almost none of the story was true.  Sure, they were all arrested, and sure, several jobs were pulled, but everything else was constructed.

My guess for those is that Hawking had Faraday's journal, which had a very detailed explanation of everything that he learned in his time studying the Island, including his conversations with the people on the Island.  For some reason (I probably just can't remember it now) she felt obligated to recreate the future as

I was satisfied with the explanation that Widmore was just a guy who was trying to take advantage of the special powers of the Island, like the "smart men" briefly mentioned in "Across the Sea."

I know Paul F. Tompkins does a decent Lithgow impression, but if Doug could find another person they could do a Doug Loves Movies with John Lithgow (real), John Lithgow (Tompkins) and John Lithgow (someone else).  I'd pay up to and including $5 for that episode.

I think that's just his natural look.

The theatre I saw Avengers in last week was doing a neilsen survey and they showed a full 2.5 minute trailer for this.  It looked complete, but I guess it was just a very early work version.  It looked good, felt very much like Basterds.

Law & Order: Pig.  Tagline: This little piggy puts away the bad guys!

SPOILER PARTY!
@avclub-f423423863960a21f2bb75f5095dc6fb:disqus    Fair point about the speech.  Maybe Ben's comment that he didn't write a concession speech was the writers winking that they never filmed a version with her losing.

You can't get off of Space Mountain in the middle of the ride!  It's dark!  And twisty!  And do they still warn you that you shouldn't raise your arms, LEST THEY BE RIPPED OFF BY LOW OVERHANGS?
